My first thoughts of this ship were quite good. It was smaller then i was expecting and on closer inspection a lot older and less well decorated then i had first expected. This was my first cruise so had nothing to compare it with, it was only when we docked in Lanzarote next to one of the Costa ships I noticed how tiny it really is. We did have an outside cabin though which i would choose again, but they are smalla and very dated and dull.

The food and service were great onboard and the itinerary was good too. There was plenty of choice at breakfast and the sun deck was well furnished.

Over all I did enjoy my cruise on the destiny but now having cruised and visited some of the larger ships i would not go back. the average age is also quite old for this ship so i wouldn't reccomend it for a young groups/couples or even really a family with young kids.
