This was the second time we had cruised on the Celebration. The ship is a nice size, the staff and crew are excellent, clean and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Disinfecting of hands was carried out every time we came aboard and before entering each restaurant at every occasion, even when accessing the Lido a the front of the ship to sunbathe. We found the Red Sea Cruise not quite to our taste however, visiting Petra, which was a wonderful experience, and Cairo for the pyramids and museum, both of which should not be missed, however on this occasion I picked up a bug and was terribly unwell. This was a horrible experience and one that I am afraid was experienced by many other passengers. The medical staff were efficient and obviously had many cases such as ours to deal with.
The food in the Meridian restaurant was good, but we felt not as good as it had been formerly on a Canaries cruise. The Lido for lunch and breakfast was good and the waiters friendly and smiling, nothing too much trouble. The cabin was adequate, however the bathroom is bijou but again adequate. The room boy kept it tidy and again was most helpful. We particularly enjoyed the explorers lounge after dinner for the piano and violin entertainmnt. The nightly entertainment in the theatre lounge did not seem to be as slick and professional as previously experienced. I think the Thomson cruises offer good value for money but would not attempt the Red Sea Cruise again. The ports of Safago and Port Sagoya where we moored were dreadful, nowhere to walk to and no shops without getting a taxi or paying throgh the nose for an excursion to Hurghada. We moored outside a cement factory and the view was certainly not pleasant.

| Lido for lunch and breakfast, also for dinner after Cairo trip because of lateness of hour of return.

| Enjoyed pianist and violinist in Explorer Lounge.
Found the other entertainment disappointing in the Show Lounge.
Did not experience the entertainment in the bars later at night. | | Shore Excursions
| Petra was fabulous, however we went by Taxi and did not have so much time to explre, 3 hours only. We did not stop for lunch but went straight back to the ship.
Cairo which was a long day and we spent too much time fnding a bazaar to buy things, which we were not interested in. | | Staff
