As the youngest member of our group of 11 i came home as happy as the oldest member of our party. The holiday was fabulous from start to finish. Being in such a large party it could of been quite problematic conducting a normal party. The staff went out of their way to ensure that each member of our party was treated as an individual and all our needs were catered for. The formal restaurant in particular supast our expectations, they managed to put together a table so we could all sit together and were very efficient in catering for the member of our party with special dietary needs.
The entertainment was up to Thomsons usual high standards with the shows being first class and the game shows bringing a sparkle into our evening. The afternoon plays were also very good as to was the other activities such as the fashion show and the ice craving.
One problem that we did incur was a lack of plugs in the cabin. Some cabins only had one plug, meaning the tv had to be unplugged before anything else could be used. However the Emerald is a very old ship and will be leaving the Thomson fleet at the end of this season and this is not a problem I have incurred on any other Thomson ship.
I have travelled on 4 out of the 5 Thomson ships and would recommend them all, with the Celebration being my personal favourite. We have travelled on other cruise lines and never found them to be to the high standards we are used to. We have never yet been disopointed by Thomson Cruises.
