Hi We have stayed on the Celebration a couple of times. We were on deck 8but will be the same as deck 7 deluxe. If you specifically want a double bed you have to ring thomson and request a particular cabin No. If one is available it will cost you £35. The cabins are really nice and the staff all over the ship are wonderful. Entertainment is1st class. Drinks package includes everything except bottled water and some more expensive spirits. But you can get smirnoff vodka for instance at no extra cost. Dont know about sports tv sorry. Enjoy! We are going on 19 Jan and are looking fwd once again to a great cruise.

I have recently stayed in a Deck 7 Deluxe cabin. It was extremely pleasant and a good size - window at far end, then two beds down each side, a curtain across if required, then a long dressing table and mirror down one-side - t.v. was on top at one end and mini bar was underneath. There was an occasional table and two chairs on the opposite side. Wardrobes opposite the bathroom as usual. Plenty of drawer and cupboard space. Didn't really bother with the television but don't think a lot on. They did show a couple of football matches in, I think, the cinema. Furnishings in the cabin are quite attractive, bathroom had bath and shower over - not terribly big but adquate and we had very nice bathrobes. Celebration has been in for a refurb. since we were on board which I understand was mainly for soft furnishings but don't know if this was the cabins or just the public areas. You will love the Celebration - we do - and the Spirit - and we are trying the Destiny for the first time in January. You can really have a good time onboard and be extremely well entertained. We have been on the QM2 this year - she is absolutely beautiful and our stateroom was gorgeous but we didn't have nearly as much fun and laughter as we have on the Thomson ships. As Aspinall said all the spirits offered are branded (except the premium drinks and bottled water) and on the all inclusive list. However if your tipple is say G&T you will see on the bar price lists "Cruise Gin and Tonic". This is not a branded gin. If you want a Gordons Gin then specify it. In the late even particularly when the waiter comes over and you say G&T it won't matter if you have been drinking Gordons previously there is a chance you will get this inferior spirit. Another thing to watch about the all inclusive is a certain monitoring of your drinking - no matter how well you handle your alcohol. If you are in one bar for a couple of hours of an evening you might find that your first drink is fine - full strength, the second one is marginally weaker and the third etc are becoming progressively weaker. However if you go to one bar and order your drink and get the standard strength, then move to another bar you will again get the standard strength. I don't know why they do this unless its because of those who are all inclusive and determined to drink their own body weight in alcohol throughout the cruise. Best way to avoid this totally is to find the bar you really like early in the cruise, find your preferred seating area where you should be assured of the same bar waiter/waitress and give them tip early on - I believe they share these with the bar keepers. Enjoy your cruise - the Celebration has a great atmosphere.
