We were on a Thompson cruise around the Fjords last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. Excursions can be booked on board. Some did sell out ie White water rafting but if you book when you get on, you should be ok. We did our own thing most days as the ships docked in the centre of most towns or else a bus was provided.
