Q: Hi is anyone sailing on Destiny on 7th December from Lisburn? We are on the ship for the second time (the last time it was Airtours Sunbird and we spent Christmas in the Carribbean 2004) with two children aged 15 and 12, just a bit worried it may be a bit choppy!

Wondered about this cruise ourselves but we would like to know what sort of weather to expect - sea conditions and weather itself - on the crossing from the Canaries area to the Caribbean. 5 or 6 days stuck inside is no holiday but if you can sit out on deck them that would be great.

We booked to sail from Lisbon on 7th December much earlier this year. Now on a 14 week countdown. Have secretly been worried that I am going to get a letter asking for more money since the price of fuel has rocketted since I booked. Was on the Celebration for 2 weeks last year and loved every minute of it. Chose this cruise as we wanted to do something transatlantic - and this one appeared on the internet.

We booked back in March and I was also worried about a fuel surcharge being added to our final invoice, however I have been in the travel agents and enquired and was told that the original price is what we will pay, so fingers crossed.
